In Feb. 2019 I was sent to Eagle Pass, Texas where a Central American migrant caravan had arrived on the other side of the U.S. – Mexico border in Piedras Negras. Nearly 2,000 adults and children were being held in a former factory which had been converted into a migrant hostel. There they awaited visas, if not from the U.S. Government, then at least from the Mexican authorities to allow them to seek refuge there.
